This Free Items Policy explains how free items work on our Platform — including who can download them, how authors can list them, what licenses apply, and the rules that govern their use.

By downloading any free item from Infinite Market, you ("Downloader" or "you") agree to the terms set out in this Free Items Policy, our general Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and License Terms. If you do not agree, you must not download or use any free items from the Platform.

1. What Are Free Items?

Free items on Infinite Market are digital products that authors (sellers) have chosen to make available to users at no monetary cost. These may include, but are not limited to:

Graphic design templates, icons, illustrations, and vectors
Fonts and typography assets
Stock photos and images
UI/UX design kits, wireframes, and mockups
Website themes, HTML templates, or code snippets
Audio tracks, sound effects, or music loops
Video templates, overlays, or motion graphic elements
Printable resources and stationery
Educational resources, sample e-books, or demo courses
Any other digital asset made available by an author at zero price

Free items are offered at the sole discretion of the individual authors and represent a genuine contribution to the creative community. Infinite Market does not guarantee the continued availability of any free item — authors may withdraw or convert a free item to a paid listing at any time.

2. Eligibility to Download Free Items

Free items on Infinite Market may be downloaded by:

Registered users: Any user with a valid and active Infinite Market account may download free items from the Platform at no charge.
Guest users: Depending on Platform settings, certain free items may be accessible without registration. However, we strongly encourage creating a free account to manage your downloads and access your download history.

To create a free account, simply register at https://infinitemarket.org with a valid email address. Registration is free and gives you access to the full free item catalogue as well as other Platform features.

We reserve the right to restrict access to free items to registered users only at any time, and to impose download limits to prevent abuse of the free items catalogue.

3. License for Free Items

Free items on Infinite Market are not in the public domain. They are still the intellectual property of their respective authors and are licensed — not given away without conditions. Downloading a free item grants you a license to use it under specific terms.

3.1 Default Free Item License

Unless the author specifies otherwise on the product listing page, all free items on Infinite Market are made available under the Regular License terms, as described in our License Terms. This means:

You may use the free item in one personal or commercial project that is freely accessible to end users at no charge.
You may modify or adapt the free item for use in your licensed project.
You may use the free item for a single client project, provided the client does not receive the original source files.
You may not use the free item in an end product that is sold, commercially distributed, or used in print-on-demand merchandise without obtaining an Extended License (where offered by the author).
You may not redistribute, resell, or share the original downloaded files with any third party.

3.2 Author-Specified License Terms

Some authors may choose to apply more permissive or more restrictive license terms to their free items. Any author-specific license terms will be clearly stated on the individual product listing page. You are responsible for reading and complying with the specific license terms associated with each free item you download. In the absence of author-specified terms, the default Regular License described in Section 3.1 applies.

3.3 Extended License for Free Items

Where an author makes both a free version and a paid Extended License available for the same product, downloading the free item grants you only the Regular License rights. If you require Extended License rights (e.g., for commercial merchandise, SaaS products, or monetised content), you must purchase the Extended License through the Platform at the price set by the author.

4. What You Can Do with Free Items

Subject to the applicable license terms, you may generally use free items downloaded from Infinite Market to:

Create personal projects, portfolios, mood boards, or creative experiments
Design a single website, blog, or social media account that is freely accessible
Create graphics, visuals, or assets for internal business use (e.g., presentations, reports, internal communications)
Use as part of a single non-commercial client project where the client does not receive source files
Create content for non-monetised social media posts, videos, or podcasts
Incorporate into educational or non-profit materials that are freely distributed
Use as inspiration, reference, or a starting point for your own original creative work

5. What You Cannot Do with Free Items

The following uses of free items are strictly prohibited, regardless of whether a free item is under the default license or an author-specified license, unless explicitly stated otherwise:

Redistribution: You may not upload, share, re-host, or redistribute the original downloaded files on any website, platform, file-sharing service, or social media channel — whether for free or for payment.
Reselling as standalone assets: You may not sell, auction, or otherwise commercialise the free item itself, or a minimally modified version of it, as a standalone digital product.
Claiming authorship: You may not present a free item as your own original creation, remove author credits, or falsely claim ownership of the intellectual property.
Use in commercial end products without Extended License: Unless the author explicitly permits it or you have purchased an Extended License, you may not use free items in end products that are sold, licensed, or commercially distributed (including print-on-demand merchandise).
Use in offensive or harmful content: You may not use free items in content that is defamatory, discriminatory, hateful, obscene, pornographic, or that promotes illegal activities.
Scraping or bulk downloading: You may not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to mass-download free items from the Platform. Such behaviour constitutes abuse and may result in account suspension.
Bypassing registration requirements: You may not use technical means to access free items without registering where registration is required.
Use in AI training datasets: You may not use free items to create, train, or improve artificial intelligence models, machine learning datasets, or similar automated systems without explicit written permission from the original author.

6. For Authors: Listing Free Items

6.1 Why List Free Items?

Offering free items on Infinite Market is a powerful way for authors to:

Build visibility and grow their audience on the Platform
Showcase the quality of their work to potential buyers
Attract followers who may later purchase premium products
Contribute to the creative community and earn goodwill
Improve their author profile rating and level over time

6.2 Author Eligibility to List Free Items

Any registered Author on Infinite Market who has completed the required identity verification (KYC) process may list free items on the Platform. Free item listings are subject to the same quality review and approval process as paid items, as described in our Author Terms.

6.3 Free Item Quality Requirements

Free items must meet the same quality standards as paid items. Authors are not permitted to list low-quality, incomplete, or placeholder assets as free items. Specifically, free items must:

Be complete, functional, and ready for use — not unfinished drafts or demo-only files
Accurately represent what is described in the listing title, description, and preview images
Be free from malware, viruses, or any harmful code
Not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party
Meet the same content standards as paid items — no prohibited content as defined in our Author Terms
Include working, accessible download files that deliver genuine value to the downloader

Submissions that do not meet these quality standards will be rejected during the review process. Repeated low-quality submissions may result in author account restrictions.

6.4 Author Rights Over Free Items

Authors who list free items on Infinite Market retain full intellectual property ownership of their work. By listing a free item, the author grants:

To Downloaders: A non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the item under the applicable license terms (default Regular License or author-specified terms).
To Infinite Market: A non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, promote, and distribute the free item on the Platform and in marketing materials for the purpose of operating and promoting Infinite Market.

Authors may withdraw their free items from the Platform at any time. However, users who have already downloaded the item before withdrawal retain their license to continue using it under the terms applicable at the time of download.

6.5 Converting Free Items to Paid

Authors may choose to convert a free item to a paid listing at any time, subject to Platform approval. When a free item is converted to paid:

The item will no longer be available for free download from the date of conversion.
Users who downloaded the item before conversion retain their license under the terms that applied at the time of their download.
The author must notify Infinite Market of the intended conversion through their Author dashboard.

6.6 No Earnings on Free Items

Authors do not receive any direct monetary compensation for downloads of free items. Free items cannot be associated with affiliate or referral commission programmes unless explicitly enabled by Infinite Market in future. Authors list free items as a voluntary contribution and for the promotional benefits described in Section 6.1.

7. Download Limits and Fair Use

To ensure fair access for all users and to protect the Platform from abuse, Infinite Market may impose the following limitations:

Daily download limits: Users may be subject to a maximum number of free item downloads per day, as displayed on the Platform.
Account-based download tracking: Downloads are tracked per registered account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent download limits is a violation of our Terms of Use and may result in all associated accounts being suspended.
Geographic restrictions: Certain free items may be restricted to users in specific geographic regions at the author's request.
Rate limiting: The Platform may throttle download speeds or frequencies during periods of high traffic to ensure fair access for all users.

8. No Warranty on Free Items

All free items on Infinite Market are provided by independent authors on an "as is" basis, without any warranty, guarantee, or representation of any kind from Infinite Market. We do not warrant that free items will:

Be free from errors, defects, or incompatibilities
Meet your specific requirements or expectations
Be compatible with your software, devices, or operating system
Remain available for download indefinitely

Infinite Market is not responsible for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by downloading or using free items. Your use of any free item is entirely at your own risk. If you encounter a problem with a free item, we encourage you to contact the author through the Platform or report the issue to our support team at contact@infinitemarket.org.

9. Reporting Abuse and Policy Violations

We take the integrity of our free items catalogue seriously. If you encounter any of the following issues, please report them to us immediately:

A free item that you believe infringes upon your intellectual property rights
A free item that contains malware, offensive content, or prohibited material
A user or author who is redistributing free items in violation of this policy
Suspicious bulk download activity or abuse of the free item system

Reports can be submitted by emailing contact@infinitemarket.org with the subject line "Free Item Policy Violation." Please include the URL of the item in question and a description of the issue. We will investigate all reports promptly and take appropriate action, which may include removing the item and/or suspending the offending account.

10. Changes to This Free Items Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Free Items Policy at any time to reflect changes in our Platform, legal requirements, or community standards. When material changes are made, we will notify users by:

Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
Posting a notice in the Platform or sending an email notification to registered users

Your continued downloading or use of free items after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
